*Dr. P B Nichkaode and Dr. R. K Diwakar,
ABSTRACT
We present a case where non-suspicion of the presence of ovary in an inguinal hernia, lead to error in the diagnosis in a child of two years age. Proper sonographic examinarion in longitudinal as well as transverse plane with 6-12 MHz linear probe and the use of CDU may prove to be key factors for correct diagnosis. The size of the ovary and the presence of cystic lesions are helpful in the diagnosis.
