ABSTRACT
In the present research it was aimed to the development and standardization of an effective media and culture conditions for regeneration technique for Calycopteris floribunda. Nodal explants from juvenile plants were cultured on Murashige and Skoog’s (MS) media with an array of different combinations of Cytokines and Auxins. Among the various protocols tested for standardization of media, MS media was found to be the best, for nodal segments. Maximum growth was obtained from the MS media containing IAA and kinetin. The optimum temp for tissue culture was found to be 250C which was kept in BOD incubator. Findings of this study have to be used for development of an effective protocol for the establishment of callus from nodal explants. Sprout formation was observed from nodal explants and were used for further studies.
