A SURVEY ON MEDICINAL PLANTS USED TO CURE PILES IN SOME AREAS OF RANGA REDDY, TELANGANA

ABSTRACT

Hemorrhoids or piles are a very common anorectal condition which affects millions of people around the world, medicinal plants have different chemical constituents which are responsible to treat various diseases and these plants can be used to cure piles. The present aim of study is a survey on plants used in treatment of piles in some local areas and how to prevent piles naturally. A survey was conducted in some areas of Ranga Reddy, Telangana, from June 2024-July 2024. the information was collected through questionnaire method from villagers, elders and traditional healers. Recorded the medicinal plants, plant parts and combination of plants commonly used by them to treat piles and noted how to prevent piles naturally. Many of them suggested that the Ocimum basilicum seeds and lemon combination is perfect remedy for piles pain.
