PERSONALITY TYPES, COLLEGE LIFE ADAPTATION, AND STRESS COPING STRATEGIES OF NURSING STUDENTS

ABSTRACT
This study investigated the relationships between MBTI personality types, college life adaptation, and stress coping strategies among nursing students. The subjects were 178 nursing students from a university in U City, who agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected from October 14 to October 31, 2022, and analyzed using SPSS 18.0, employing t-tests, ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficients. The results showed significant positive correlations between MBTI personality types and overall college life adaptation (r = .175, p = .019), MBTI personality types and overall stress coping strategies (r = .230, p = .002), and between overall college life adaptation and overall stress coping strategies (r = .485, p = .000).
