THE SYNTHESIS OF NOVEL NITRONS AND THEIR BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES

ABSTRACT

In this study novel aldehydes were synthesised through diazoinium coupling reactions and used for the preparation of nitron compounds which were verified using mass spec., 1H NMR and 13C NMR. Also the biological activities were tested against four types of bacteria, two gram positive and two gram negative and the activities were compared with those of commercial antibiotics.
