AN EFFICIENT ULTRASOUND ASSISTED ASPARTIC ACID CATALYZED MULTICOMPONENT SYNTHESIS OF ISOXAZOLE-5(4H)-ONES

ABSTRACT
A green and efficient protocol was developed for the multicomponenet synthesis of isoxazoles via the Ethanol:water mediated multicomponent reaction of aromatic aldehyde, ethyl acetoacetate, and hydroxylamine hydrochloride in ultrasonic conditions catalyzed by aspartic acid at ambient conditions. It is noteworthy that the aspartic acid promoted one-pot three-component process under ultrasonic conditions was observed to be very good and satisfactory.
