RESTORATION OF FACIAL ESTHETICS WITH CHEEK PLUMPER – A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT

Loss of teeth in any individual, whether healthy, sick, young, or elderly, can make them feel handicapped due to poor masticatory function and facial disfigurement, which has a negative psychological influence on them. To improve on this, in addition to the normal tooth arrangements for lip support, excellent denture aesthetics can be accomplished by providing additional support to collapsed tissues. This article offers a straightforward, non-invasive, and conventional treatment option for improving facial appearance in a totally edentulous patient with sunken cheeks using a removable cheek plumper/cheek raising prosthesis with magnetic attachments. These attachments offer the advantages of being simple to insert and clean, easily accessible and affordable, and small enough to fit into the denture flange.
