ABSTRACT
Anticoagulant-induced nephropathy is a type of acute kidney injury resulting from excessive anticoagulation. Anticoagulant therapy can cause glomerular hemorrhage and deposition of RBC casts, leading to acute tubular necrosis. We report a case of Anticoagulant-Related Nephropathy (ARN) presenting with anuria. The patient was treated conservatively and recovered after correcting the coagulopathy. This case is reported due to its rarity and the need for presumptive diagnosis in patients undergoing prolonged anticoagulant therapy.
Keywords: Anticoagulant-related nephropathy, Acenocoumarol-induced nephropathy, warfarin- induced nephropathy, acute tubular injury, acute kidney injury.
