ABSTRACT
The article presents the results of treatment of 157 children aged from 2 months to 18 years (mean age 3.4 ± 1.8 years) with intestinal intussusception and its complications, who were treated in the pediatric surgical department of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care in 2014-2024. Boys - 102 (65%), Girls - 55 (35%). In 9 (5.7%) cases, there were clinical and instrumental signs of peritonitis, which led to emergency laparotomy. In the remaining 148 (94.3%) patients without signs of peritonitis and intestinal necrosis as a result of intussusception, pneumodesinvagination was used first, which was successful in 27.7% (41/148) of cases. In case of ineffectiveness of conservative pneumointussusception, 72.3% (107/148) used laparoscopic pneumointussusception. The success rate of this method is 82.2% (88/107). In children with intestinal intussusception, the success rate of traditional pneumatic disinvagination does not exceed 27.7%. Two-stage pneumodesinvagination (if the first attempt is unsuccessful) using laparoscopically assisted pneumocolonoscopy is an effective (82.2%), minimally invasive and safe method of surgical treatment of intestinal intussusception in children.
