ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AMONG PARAMEDICAL STUDENTS OF URMIA UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES 2016.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Learning and academic achievement are main concepts in educational Psychology. For making useful changes in a system descriptive information about current situations is necessary. So this study wants to evaluate the academic achievement among paramedical students in Urmia University of Medical Sciences. Material and methods: This cross sectional study was conducted on 74 paramedical students in Urmia University of medical Sciences. Data were collected through a demographic checklist including: age, sex and GPA (Grade Point Average). Finally data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, T test and Pearson correlation by SPSS v.19. Results: The mean of age was 21.99 ± 1.50. The mean of total GPA was 15.94 ± 1.27. 16 respondents were female while other were males. The relationship between gender and academic achievement was not significant. So was the relationship between age and academic achievement. Males had more academic achievement than females. Conclusion: Educational achievement was moderate in this study.
