STUDIES IN THE ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITIES OF SOME NEWLY SYNTHESIZED THIOCARBAMIDES BY DISC DIFFUSION METHOD AND MIC METHODS

ABSTRACT
2-(3-Thioamidoformamidino-4-isobutoxyphenyl)-4-methyl-5-carboxy-1,3-thiazole(A1), 2-(3-methylthioamidoformamidino-4-isobutoxyphenyl)-4-methyl-5-carboxy-1,3-thiazole(A2), 2(3-ethylthioamidoformamidino-4-isobutoxyphenyl)-4-methyl-5-carboxy-1,3-thiazole (A3), 2(3-phenylthioamidoformamidino-4-isobutoxyphenyl)-4-methyl-5-carboxy-1,3-thiazole (A4), 2(3-allylthioamidoformamidino-4-isobutoxy phenyl)-4-methyl-5-carboxy-1,3-thiazole(A5) i.e. were synthesized and their antimicrobial activities were tested against E.Coli, B.Subtilis, S.Typhi, S.Aureus, B. Megatherium, A.Aerogenes, by Disc diffusion method and MIC methods. These compounds showed good results.
