HERBAL PLANTS ENHANCING MALE SPERMATOGENESIS

ABSTRACT
The world's second most populus nation India lies at population of about 1.3 billion people after china which is 1.4 billions per the recent demographic survey conducted. The survey shows that India has complicated demographers. According to the Indian society of assisted reproduction, the infertility currently affects about 10 to 14 percent of the Indian population, with higher rates in urban areas where one out of four couples is suffering with male partner infertility. In coming years it will become the haunting problem if not taken care. Through this review article, the assorted or diversified related etiological factors i.e. a medical condition, overheated testicles ejaculation disorders, hormonal imbalance, genetic factors, mumps, modern life style had been discussed which have been a thoughtful brunt on male infertility. The review focus is to bring about knowledge which could help as guideline in the assessment of male infertility which will help in knowing the reason and their precaution of infertility and how to increase the semen count or to improve sperm quality via herbal preparation. Nonetheless, herbal preparation are still used in many regions of India and a great ratio of medicinal herbal plant used traditionally to overcome the problem of male infertility and so in this review we have summarized that we need to get more and more research on the herbal treatment of infertility as it will not affect if taken for long period that comes as a side effect in chemical or synthetic drugs.
