ABSTRACT
For the recent decades, there has been a reasonable research regard in the area of drug delivery using nanoparticle as a porter for micro-particles. Nanotechnology is defined as micro-science. Nanotechnology refers to as designing of characterization, production, devices and system by controlling the shape and size of particles at nanometer scale ranging from 1nm to 100nm. Due to small size of particles, nanotechnology has upgrade properties like strength, stability, reactivity, surface area, etc. for better bioavailability, patient compliance and therapeutic action. Many nanoformulations are efficiently used for brain delivery such as dendrimer, nano-emulsions, nano-suspension, liposomes, etc. Several methods are employed for preparation of nanoparticles such as solvent evaporation, double emulsification method, emulsion-diffusion method, nano-precipitation, co-acervation method, salting out method, dialysis and supercritical fluid technology. There are different types of metallic nanoparticles such as gold, silver, alloy, magnetic, etc that have huge applications in industries. Therefore, nanotechnology appearing as an area in medicine that is looked to obtain important therapeutic benefits. So, nanoparticles employed to increasing the therapeutic effect of drugs and decrease the side effects.
Keywords: Nanoparticles, advantages of nanoparticles, silver, preparation techniques, characterization.
