Abstract

PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND ANTICANCER STUDY ON SKEML SKIN CANCER CELLS OF THE VARIOUS EXTRACTS OF CONNARUS MONOCARPUS LINN.

ABSTRACT

The present study involves the Preliminary Phytochemical Screening and Determination of anticancer activity on SKMEL skin cancer cells by in vitro MTT assay of the selected extracts of Connarus monocorpus Linn. The extracts were selected based on the Preliminary Phytochemical Screening tests. The different concentrations of chloroform, ethanol and water extracts of Connarus monocorpus Linn. from 6.25 - 200 μg/ml by MTT assay showed ethanol exhibit significant effect on SKMEL skin cancer cells at 45.41 μg/ml.
