ABSTRACT
In the present study a series of Benzimidazole derivatives was designed and subjected to docking analysis (Gold) using PDB ID 4AMV (gram negative bacteria), 4P80 (gram positive bacteria) and 1S4N (fungi), Twelve compounds were selected for synthesis on the basis of docking score. The synthesized compounds were characterized and evaluated for antibacterial activity against gram negative bacteria (E.coli) and gram positive bacteria (S.aureus) taking Ampicillin as standard. The antifungal activity was performed against C.Albicans taking Griseofulvin as standard. The result of antimicrobial activity of synthesized Compounds show that synthesized compound N1, N2, N8 & N9 exhibit better activity against S.aureus as compared to other synthesized compounds, N1, N2 & N8 show better activity against E.coli. N1, N2, N5, N6 and N11 showed better activity against C.albicans.
