Abstract

A CASE OF HYPERCALCEMIA- SARCOIDOSIS

ABSTRACT

Hypercalcemia is seen only in 10% case of sarcoidosis. Hypercalcemia very rarely occurs as the first presentation in sarcoidosis We report the case of a 58year old lady who presented with constipation and backpain detected to have hypercalcemia on investigation and on detailed evaluation was found to have sarcoidosis. The patient was treated with steroids after which the condition was found to have improved.

Keywords: Hypercalcemia is seen only in 10% case of sarcoidosis.
