AWARENESS OF CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE IN CURRENT SMOKERS: A SURVEY

ABSTRACT

Patient awareness of COPD refers to knowledge and acceptance of the disease and its treatment. Although it is relevant to management and outcomes, the disease awareness of patients is poorly investigated in India specially in smokers. The aim of this study was to assess the awareness of COPD in current smokers so as that they can be made to understand the ill effects of the disease.
