METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF MOXIFLOXACIN & BROMFENAC BY RP-HPLC METHOD

ABSTRACT

A simple, Accurate, precise method was developed for the simultaneous estimation of the Moxifloxacin and Bromfenac in Tablet dosage form. Chromatogram was run through STD BDS 150 x 4.6 mm, 5. Mobile phase containing Buffer 0.1%OPA: Acetonitrile taken in the ratio 55:45 was pumped through column at a flow rate of 1 ml/min. Buffer used in this method was 0.1%OPA buffer. Temperature was maintained at 30°C. Optimized wavelength selected was 275 nm. Retention time of Moxifloxacin and Bromfenac were found to be 2.102 min and 3.188. %RSD of the Moxifloxacin and Bromfenac were and found to be 1.3 and 0.4 respectively. %Recovery was obtained as 99.90% and 99.51% for Moxifloxacin and Bromfenac respectively. LOD, LOQ values obtained from regression equations of Moxifloxacin and Bromfenac were 0.09, 0.05 and 0.26, 0.16 respectively. Regression equation of Moxifloxacin is y = 14556x + 7263, y = 7758.x + 454.1 of Bromfenac. Retention times were decreased and run time was decreased, so the method developed was simple and economical that can be adopted in regular Quality control test in Industries.
