ORIGIN, CAUSES AND TREATMENT OF THE CORONAVIRUS INFECTED PEOPLE ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC GUIDELINES

ABSTRACT

The coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 is the greatest challenge we are facing now since World War Two. It is currently viewed as global health crisis. Since its emergence in China late last year, the virus has spread to every continent except Antarctica. The global medical system has been proved to be ineffective. Every day the number of deaths is increasing at an alarming rate. Modern medical scientists and researchers are trying hard to come up with possible vaccines and some specific drug treatments. USA, UK, Brazil, Italy, India, Spain and France are the countries where people are massively infected. The prime minister of Spain has openly and humbly declared that all our efforts have come to an end. We have now no other alternative but to seek help from the Owner of the Sky i.e. God or Allah. First of all let me discuss about the origin of coronavirus. What type of virus it is? Where did it originate from and what are the principal causes of COVID 19? What do the divine books say about this viral disease? In the later part of the article I shall discuss the effective remedies, both physical and spiritual for its treatment and subsequent cure. Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans. Scientists have pointed to either bats or snakes as possible sources. The novel coronavirus was first discovered in a virology lab in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and then it rapidly spread around the globe. Dr. Alok Patel, a member of team of coronavirus experts said, based on everything that scientists have looked at the genetic material of this coronavirus, the similarity is closest to a virus in a bat. Scientists believe a bat likely infected another animal before it infected humans. Currently virology researchers are trying to unravel the mystery behind it. Global scientists are surprised, how did a lethal coronavirus jump from the wilds of rural China to major human population centers in the world. Right now the number of infected cases in the world has exceeded Forty million and total deaths have also exceeded one million and two hundred thousand.
