ABSTRACT

Forensic dentistry is an evolving science that has a greater scope of development. It has helped much in medico‑legal cases and in the identification of the dead. As the dental tissues are mostly preserved and protected by the facial muscles and tissues even when the body is decomposed or burnt, forensic odontology gets its recognition. Various methods are available for determination of age, gender, and ethnicity of the person, using oral tissues alone. This article is a review of the latest trends in forensic dentistry.
